Zena Tessier of C&S Wholesale Grocers is named NEWFDA’s 2011 Person of the Year

The Northeast Wholesale Food Distributors Association (NEWFDA) is extremely pleased to announce that Zena Tessier, Vice President/ Merchandising at C&S Wholesale Grocers has been chosen as the 2011 NEWFDA Person of the Year. Recipients of this award are chosen by their peers based upon their dedication and contribution to NEWFDA as well as the food distribution community.  Zena will be presented this distinguished honor at our Annual Convention being held at the Four Seasons Resort and Spa in Palm Beach, Florida November 10th-14th 2011.

Zena has a rich background with years of in-depth experience in the food industry. She started her career 24 years ago working for Imperial Distributors. Over the years she has held a variety of positions in the industry. In 1994 Zena joined C&S Wholesale Grocers, where she started out as a buyer for the company and due to a  number of promotions she  currently holds the position  as  Vice President/ Merchandising.

Zena and her Husband Pete have been married for 31 years and currently reside in Swanzey, NH with their cat Rocky.

In addition to Zena’s aggressive work schedule, she finds the time to work tirelessly holding multiple volunteer positions within the NEWFDA organization since 2003. Zena currently holds the position as the chairperson for our association.

“Over the years, Zena has been an active  participant and  focused leader, she demonstrates an unwavering commitment to the goals and philosophies of NEWFDA. She’s a dynamo who knows how to get things done and done well” says President Ann Robinson.
