Randy Shaw of Acosta Sales and Marketing is named NEWFDA’s 2010 Person of the Year

The Northeast Wholesale Food Distributors Association (NEWFDA) is extremely pleased to announce that Randy Shaw, Vice President/Team Leader at Acosta Sales and Marketing has been chosen as the 2010 NEWFDA Person of the Year. Recipients of this award are chosen by their peers based upon their dedication and contribution to the food distribution community and to NEWFDA. Randy will be presented this distinguished honor at our Annual Convention being held at the Don Cesar Beach Resort and Spa in St. Pete Beach, Florida November 4^th-7^th 2010.

Randy has a rich background with years of in-depth experience in the food industry. He started his career 28 years ago working for Pathmark. Over the years he has held a variety of positions with M&H Brokerage and Benckiser Consumer Products. In 1994 Randy joined Acosta Sales and Marketing, where he currently holds the position of Vice President/Team Leader.

Randy and his wife Emily have been married for 20 years and currently reside in North Granby, CT with their two children, Rachael, 16, and Jessica, 13.

In addition to Randy’s aggressive work schedule, he has worked tirelessly holding multiple volunteer positions within the NEWFDA organization for over 10 years.

“Over the years, Randy has been an active participant and leader, consistently demonstrating an unwavering commitment to the goals, principles and philosophies of NEWFDA” says President Ann Robinson.
